Oil on canvas 105cm x 105cm

These are a series of portraits painted from photographs taken of fellow artists while they are busy working and unaware of the camera, 'stealing' their image. There is no acknowledgement, no telltale sign that they are at all aware of the camera, and as such a moment of their thoughts; a throw away glance is immortalised in time.

I have been keen to experiment with technique of brush, while limiting my palette to monochrome.
