Oil on canvas 50cm x 50cm

These two portraits are of my mother at very different times in her life. The first of a dreamy young girl about to embark on lifes' long journey, the second of a wise and cheeky old woman, who has lived a long and full life.

Both portraits are studies from photographic source material, although with the later one, I also had the advantage of memory and personal recollection.
